"Banana Ridge" Hike

Lisa, Ken, Alexandra and Todd hiked up Mason Lake Trail on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on October 26th. Our original plan was to hike up Banana Ridge but missed the turn off for the trail and ended up hiking up the Mason Lake Trail for a few miles. We had some decent views of Snoqualmie Pass and the surrounding hills. As we got higher up the trail, Mt. Rainier popped up over the ridge to the south and Seattle backed by the Olympics was visible. It was a very warm day and we eventually turned around after one too many sunny switchbacks. A good hike, and, based on the large number of cars and SUV's in the parking lot, also a very popular hike.
