All of the hotels listed below (with the exception of the Salish Lodge, as noted) are located in downtown Seattle. The expensive and romantic hotels are all in the heart of downtown, while the moderate and economical hotels are located near the Seattle Center in a very accessible but unglamorous part of downtown. These are just some suggestions and there are plenty other places to stay, so we encourage you to talk to your travel agent if you're interested in making a real vacation of it. Be aware when making reservations that if hotel is not located in Seattle proper, it may be a significant drive away from the city due to the diverse geography of Seattle (lots of lakes and bridges). If in doubt, you can always email us to get our opinion.

Romantic Hotels

HotelComments
The Four SeasonsThis is where Presidents stay when they come to Seattle. Although the Presidential Suite is a little pricey ($1000 a night), they do have some semi-reasonable rates and specials. It's located right in downtown, so it's very convenient and the service is great. According to some travel article we read, they supposedly keep track of your preferences every time you visit the hotel (early turndown, toast light brown w/butter, set radio to classical station), so go now and you'll always have something to return to.
The Sorrento HotelA grand old hotel located on First Hill (sort of east of downtown). Not quite as big as the Four Seasons, but with lots of "old world charm." An extremely nice looking hotel and close to a bunch of top notch hospitals if you're planning on having a medical emergency while visiting us.
The Salish LodgeThis is the only one located outside of Seattle that we recommend. It's about a 30 minute drive east of Seattle on I-90, located at the top(!) of Snoqualmie Falls. If you ever watched Twin Peaks, this was the hotel at the top of the falls (The Great Northern) in the opening credits. It's luxurious and it has a cool Japanese spa (as well as a gourmet restaurant), so if you're looking for something romantic before or after, it comes highly, highly recommended.
Inn at the MarketWe've never actually stayed here, but we've always wanted to. It's supposed to be very nice and romantic and it's located at the historic Pike Place Market in the heart of downtown.
